# Generic Objects

Generic Objects (also known as *Dynamic Resource Objects*) have been in development for several versions of CloudForms and ManageIQ, and in CloudForms 4.6 (ManageIQ *Gaprindashvili*) they are made available for general use.

This section describes the capabilities of Generic Objects in CloudForms 4.6 and ManageIQ *Gaprindashvili*.
